No, this isn’t satire. You couldn’t make a headline like this up. I therefore must inform you that it’s been discovered that an Islamist double agent spy who previously worked as an actor in gay porn has been arrested in Germany.
The unnamed man is a German citizen of Spanish descent. He was recently found out to be a mole inside Germany’s domestic spy agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV).
The 51-year-old began his work with the BfV in April 2016. He was to monitor potentially violent Islamists in the country, but ultimately became an Islamist spy instead.
The German magazine Der Spiegel reported he converted to Islam back in 2014. Family members say they did not know he had converted.
But since these discoveries another interesting detail has surfaced.
The Washington Post reports that the man acted in gay porn at least once, this according to senior intelligence officials. The man’s chatroom and porn name alias, as well as his real name, are being held back as the investigation continues.
He was uncovered because he had been using a chatroom known by German intelligence to be used by Islamic militants. There the man offered to help German agents (posing as Islamists) infiltrate the BfV and plan an attack on its headquarters. Agents were able to identify him rather easily, as he had given up information about his job and the agency.
He was arrested on Nov. 29.
“Officials say there is no evidence yet that the suspect provided harmful details to Islamic militants,” reported the Washington Post.
German politicians, however, are calling for a review of the agency’s vetting procedures.
