Watch: Half-Naked Naval Academy Freshmen Tackle Annual Herndon Monument Climb

The most homoerotic event of the year, The Herndon Climb, went down at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland today.

Every May, over 1000 Naval Academy freshmen climb to the top of a 21-foot lard-covered obelisk, where they replace a “dixie cup” hat with a midshipmen’s hat. After completing this tradition, the freshmen are called “fourth-class midshipmen.”

This year’s class completed the task in 2 hours, 21 minutes and 21 seconds.
