What kind of gay porn is your neighbor a state over watching? Pornhub knows.
Pornhub has released new stats on what search terms are the most popular in each U.S. state. “Black” and “straight” topped the list, but what’s got our attention is some of the more interesting terms searched for and where.
For instance, “redneck” is 152 percent more popular in West Virginia than in other states, and “cowboy” is the most popular in Montana. Also, for some reason “tickle” is 718 percent more popular in Massachusetts.
Perhaps not as surprising but still curious, Utah is 845 percent more likely to search for “Mormon”, which is also popular in Idaho (437 percent more likely to search the term than elsewhere in the country).
Here are some more numbers for you:
● Compared to other age groups, 18-24-year-olds search for “Japanese” the most
● The 65-plus age group is 184 percent more likely to search for “massage”
● Women make up 26 percent of all Pornhub site visitors, but account for 37 percent of gay porn viewers
● Gay porn accounts for only 6.3 percent of all of Pornhub’s page views, but gay porn is one of the most uploaded categories of all time (1.86 million clips over the past 10 years, surpassed only by the “amateur” video category)
